Welcome to Week 1 of my new blog! I'm excited to start off this New Year with our focus on "Seeking God Together". We will begin this week by reading John 1-8 together.
From the first eight chapters of John, what verse or verses stood out to you? For me, it was John 4:34-35: Jesus said to them, "My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me and to accomplish His work. Do you not say, 'There are yet four months, and then comes the harvest'? Behold, I say to you, lift up your eyes and look on the fields, that they are white for harvest."
Jesus said do not say four months and then the harvest. This was a proverb in Jesus' day that meant you can't rush the harvest. You have to wait until the harvest is ready. Jesus said the harvest is ready right now. It only needs people who are willing to work. Are we ready to work? What kind of harvest? The harvest are people who need Jesus which means every single person in the world because everyone needs Jesus. Who do you know that needs Jesus? Are you willing to reach out to them in 2023?
Here are a few things that can help you reach out:
Pray every day for them.
Invite them to church.
Buy some copies of Lee Strobel's book "The Case for Christ" and give them away.
Offer to pray right then and there for people who are struggling.
Share with them what God has done in your life.
In 2023, don't be afraid but be bold for Jesus! Most people will react in a positive way as long as you do it in a positive way.
Prayer for the week: Jesus, help me to not be afraid but to be bold for you in 2023.

JN 6:35. “I am the bread of life. He who comes to me will never go hungry and he who believes in me will never be thirsty”.
So love how Jesus said this especially to a crowd that adorned the Moses’ manna.
Jesus is our ultimate satisfaction and want. He fulfills so that we don’t have a feeling of emptiness.
The only hunger and thirst we should have is for Him.

It was a great read…these 8 chapters. Jesus was so bold in teaching people who He really is…yet, most of them did not believe Him. If Jesus were here in our time right now, I wonder if I would have listened and believed Him too? Is that a fair question? Thank you, Pastor Keith for this challenge.
John 1:6-8 6 There was a man sent from God whose name was John. 7 He came as a witness to testify concerning that light, so that through him ALL might believe. 8 He himself was not the light; he came only as a witness to the light.😀Thank God that we can share our thoughts here to encourage one another. Thank you Ptr, Keith for allowing us. On these verses God wanted us to be the light bearer wherever we may go and to be His hands and feet. And to live a life that's pleasing to God. And to share the good news/gospel so a lot of people will be saved in this day and age.
There is alot of meat/potatoes in John 1-8! Glad we are doing this! Makes me read my bible more. We are so blessed to have the word to assist us in this life. I chose my favorite scripture John 2:13-17. It tells me Jesus showed emotions to get His point across. I used to believe as a baby Christian we should not get angry. This scripture opened my eyes. To me it speaks its ok/normal as a believer to get angry. You just need to have a healthy outlet. The other part of this scripture speaks to me about the church. We should always try to walk in the holy spirit in/outside Gods house. Also we as a body are…
Grace & Truth came through Jesus. Love how that reads. Not Grace alone. Not Truth alone…
Grace alone is a license to sin…Truth alone is legalism. …
Also love how it says “whosoever“. All are welcome in HIS kingdom if they believe for eternal redemption. .
